No ones wins a war on drugs. Short vid on Incarceration vs. treatment.
Harms of the war on drugs are described. It affects everybody and it goes way deeper than just the drug war. This is a war on human rights and it begin with the people to make the change.
“Leading the world in incarceration rates- locking up more fellow citizens than any other place in the world.”
“There is a price to a slow learning curve. Incarcerated population that now leads the world… We can no longer afford to have a slow learning curve.”
“The criminalization approach can not and will not be the way. It does not make sense to put the resources in the hands of the prison industrial complex… If we want money for treatment and education, healthcare and housing, then we can’t have the fastest building prison system in the world. We cant have a prison industrial complex that’s over 100 billion dollars a year, we can not have such a system.”
“Move into another world in which our drug policies are granted in science, compassion, health and human rights.”
