Response to complaints made by L.A residents regarding dispensaries.
Los Angeles City Council passed an ordinance, regulating the uproar of recently opened Medical Marijuana dispensaries. Since the Obama Administrations’ leniency towards medicinal users and distributors, more than 600 dispensaries have opened in L.A. alone. The new law states that dispensaries mustn’t be within 1000 feet of schools, libraries, churches, playgrounds etc. and also, that only 70 of 600 dispensaries will remain open for business. Although highly unfortunate for owners of the dispensaries at stake, the ordinance is nevertheless a firm stand on behalf of medical marijuana’s permanent presence.
